Twine, the incoming information and management sharing tool from Radar Networks has begun Beta testing with the “first wave” testers. And apparently, I have a “golden ticket” for the “second wave” of testers (as of a late breaking email!). I may even get the “chocolate factory” if I pass the test….no, just kidding! In actuality, I’ve been warned that I will have to do some more waiting before I even get the access key.
I have been anticipating this for some time since it’s based on emerging Web 3.0 technology. And so expect that I will be writing more about this in the future as I go to a deeper level on it. In fact, Radar’s Twine is one of THE first applications to use this technology (unveiled at the Web 2.0 summit this past 2007). And hopefully it really will “tie” all our incoming pieces of lightspeed information together so we can find, organize, and share it better! If so, it should serve church groups very effectively for online collaboration and be a tool we recommend in our “plans”.
If anyone else has their “golden ticket” for Twine, let us know! If not, go register now….but be forewarned: like school and a closed class, you’ll have to waitlist for the Beta widen.
